On Friday, August 22, 2008 - we will ONLY process Renewal Permits.  Approved CCW Endorcements may also be picked up. 

New Applications will NOT be accepted!

 

We will resume taking new applications on Monday, August 25, 2008.

Applicants must provide the following at the time of processing:

1. Current proof of Jackson County, MO Residency.
      This will be accepted in the form of a valid MO Driver’s License or Non-Driver’s License
      or military identification and orders showing the person being stationed in Missouri.

2. A copy of the Certificate of Firearms Safety Training Course.

      The course instructor will provide this form.

3. A personal check or money order payable to the Missouri State Highway
      Patrol in the amount of $33.25.

4. A personal check or money order payable to the Jackson County, MO
      Sheriff’s Office in the amount of $66.75.

NOTE:

All processing fees are non-refundable. No cash or credit cards will be accepted. Those individuals not providing all of the required documents will be denied from processing.

The CCW Endorsement and the CCW Renewal are valid for three (3) years each.

All applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis from 1 to 4:45 p.m. Tuesday through Friday (excluding holidays).

RENEWAL PERMITS
NEW PERMITS
Missouri Statute:  Section 571-101

Applicants must provide the following at the time of processing:

1. Current proof of Jackson County, MO Residency.
      This will be accepted in the form of a valid MO Driver’s License or Non-Driver’s License
      or military identification and orders showing the person being stationed in Missouri.

2. A personal check or money order payable to the Jackson County, MO
      Sheriff’s Office in the amount of $50.00.

A brief background check will be performed, a new application will be filled out, and if everything is OK, then the renewal will be issued that day.

 

There is a $10.00 penalty fee assessed for each month the endorsement is not renewed, up to six months.  After six months, the endorsement is invalid and the holder must begin the process over again.
