About the c.r.u. |

The Community Resource Unit is part of the Staff Services Division and is responsible for all of the community outreach and public education programs sponsored by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
Our Unit is the face of the Sheriff’s Office to over 1.5 million citizens each year through public events, speaking engagements, neighborhood and civic organizations, Citizen Police Academies, and youth-directed programs.
It is our goal that we may bring together law enforcement, other government agencies, businesses, schools and communities in raising awareness, reducing crime and fear, and improving the quality of life in Jackson County, Missouri. |
